a glitter polish removal solution!

i really adore glitter nail polish, but hate taking it off. The removal takes way longer than the application, and if you have crap nails like mine, it can do damage.

a friend suggested to use Elmers glue as a base. And it actually works really well!! I’m so happy about this.

You put some white craft glue in an empty nail polish bottle. Apply a coat to your nails and wait for it to dry. Apply your glitter nail polish as usual. When you want it to come off, loosen it a bit at the base and it will peel right off!!

This might be old news for you, but this was new to me. I don’t advise this for long term nail polish, but for a day it works great.

How do you do it all!?

I’m having trouble keeping up with all of this social media. I have twitter, facebook, blog, store, website, and now i’m told I need to get on pinterest. PHEW! i feel like i’m doing them all halfassed, on top of preparing for craft shows, etsy, day job, family, i feel like I’m getting nothing I should be done. Lucky for me, the actual creation process i love, it’s truly beyond a hobby. But all this other stuff, I enjoy on it’s own, but when I look at the big picture my brain explodes. Does anyone have advice on how to manage it all?

Here’s my latest creation, a blue/gold flakie I called “blitz”

My first real color shifter

eeek! I love this colour so much! It’s so deceiving, painted on alone, it’s a really pretty pink/peach/orange colour. Over black, it goes CRAZY! It shifts from gold to violet. I only bought a tiny sample of the mica I used to make it, but now I’m going to have to buy a lot more. I’m going to send this to someone to swatch for me, there’s no way I can take good pics of this.

New pink and pearl creations

I don’t know why, but looking at these bottles makes me think 80’s. Or old lady… But I really like both colours! Maybe it’s the white lids that gives them a retro look, I was debating switching to white permantely, everyone seems to use black, but I think I’ll stick to black too. Wish I could find a different colour lid all together.

Rebranding

This name was never meant to be permanent, and now I’ve decided on an actual name, Black Sheep Lacquer. What do you think? It’s so hard to think of an identity, it’s been bugging me for awhile now. Lacquer is better than Polish, right?
